Why be covered in hair or have your furniture covered in hair? Not a problem with Airedales. Airedale Terriers are considered by some people to be allergy free. The Airedale's and Welsh Terrier's double coat is naturally non shedding. If any dog is suited to a person with allergies none would be better than an Airedale (sometimes misspelt Airdale and Ayredale).

Latest Australian Champion. Champion Tjuringa Masterpiece (Morris) is Australia's latest Champion Airedale (3/2/08). Due to our relocation and overcrowding of dogs (we have six Airedale males) Morris is available to a show home at a very reasonable price. Experienced show people only need enquire. He is out of Champion Tjuringa Queen Bee, the mother of Ch Tjuringa Firecracker(Bang), and sired by Ch Old Iron Grange Hermitage (bred the same was as Margaret River). A multiple group winner and currently Australia's number ten top terrier and number two Airedale.

Due to largely to relocation Keith and Trish Lovell need to re-home an Australian Champion Airedale bitch who is approx eight years old.
She is in apparently excellent health, and we would expect her to be spayed and require nothing but a good home for her.
Keeper is a beautiful but very sensitive bitch who is terrified of fire works, thunder and other loud noises. She is somewhat people shy in strange environments but will warm up and love her new owners. She does best where routine is monotonous. Inside the house she is good and will , on her own terms, cuddle up and demand loving attention. She prefers carpet to tiles for walking on. While she is fit and sound and has the energy to chase cyclists along her extensive fence line she is not likely to be good outside the property as many things will terrify her. Keith could NEVER suggest allowing her off lead in the open anywhere except a fully secure back yard. She is clever and will seek out a weakness in a fence, get out and then be very regretful as the world out there invades her psyche. She cannot be considered for any home not expecting these negative behaviours. Probably best for an older person who mostly stays home. Has the bluff qualities of a great watchdog companion. Not aggressive but may fear children.

BEST IN SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our star Airedale Australian Champion Tjuringa Firecracker (Bang) won the most prestigious best in show at Hobart Royal Show. This is unprecedented. Bang celebrated Number one Airedale in Australia 2006 year end, and won three Best In Shows in October....also unprecedented by an Airedale! His recent rare appearance in 2007 saw a Best of Breed hatrick at Adelaide International Festival and an applauded group placing.
AND 2007 the new young winner is Tjurgina Masterpiece is also a major winner at a Royal Show. At the 2007 Royal Geelong Show not only best of breed but BEST TERRIER EXHIBIT. Two years in a row, two Royal Shows, Two Tjuringa Airedales Win Best in Group and both are from the wonderful bitch Ch Tjuringa Queen Bee.
All Tjuringa Airedale and Welsh Terrier puppies are sold microchipped, immunised, wormed (4 times), Tjuringa temperement tested and introductory annual membership of The Airedale Terrier Club of Victoria when you contribute just $10.
Keith and Trish Lovell returned from Japan in December 2004 where Keith judged the Airedale Terrier Club of Japan Championship Show. What a thrill and what hospitality from the club president Tekemi Sugimoto and his charming wife Shino. As the best exhibit Keith Lovell chose the beautiful Airedale bitch from Japan's Wilderness Airedales. Keith Lovell has now judged Airedales in eleven countries and all Australian states. (Every Airedale Club in the Southern hemisphere) The most significant appointment was for the National Airedale Association of America where he judged 145 Airedales at Montgomery County Championship Show. However Argentina, Romania, Finland are included among the exotic countries experienced. There is no question that some of the best Airedales in the world are Australian.
Exciting news is that Airedale, Australian and American Champion Matrasen Zamindar (UK) arrived in Melbourne Quarantine March 2004 and was freed in great condition May 18th. He was shown on May 22 taking best of breed and Runner Up in Group. A great start for a great asset to our breed in Australia. TC has won multiple all breeds BEST IN SHOWS. At the end of 2004 TC remained the Number One Airedale in Australia (OZDOG SYSTEM- all shows) He has puppies from three beautiful Tjuringa litters to boast so far. Four of his puppies are already champions.TC is now back in England in the names of Holbrooks, Dozier and Lovell. However in Australia he is now becoming a grandfather and his son to Australian Champion Tjuringa Queen Bee, Ch.Tjuringa Firecracker, is open for stud enquiries. Firecracker was the number one Airedale in Australia in 2006 ( Ozdog system) outdoing his father's great successes.
Welsh Terrier CH.Globetrotter of Happytails has settled after his Romania and Belgium beginnings. See under profiles. He is of course now at stud. Our newest stud Welsh is Tjuringa Vandango whose show career is ahead of him.
CH. Tjuringa Keepsake gained her title in 2005. "Keeper's" main success was her great win over all Airedale bitches under American Judge Virginia Latham at the Club Show. .
Champion Brislines Playboy (Imp USA) is at stud to approved Airedale bitches. "Hughie" is a multiple best in show winning dog. Hughie is sired by American Champion Serendipity Terrydales HK X-F who is the sire of the Montgomery all Terrier Show Best in Show winner 2002. Check Hughie out on the "OUR DOGS" page.

As President of the Tarago Kennel Club, Keith invites all exhibiters to attend our wonderful summer Shows in Darnum. In 2007 we hosted three international judges and one from Darwin having her first Victorian appointment.
